Mikon 699MC is a solvent-based, easy-to-use mould sealer designed to close the pores of previously cleaned moulds. It is traditionally used prior to applying older-generation solvent-based semi-permanent release agents, such as Mikon 705MC. The active ingredients in Mikon 699MC help seal porous or repaired mould surfaces and improve the adhesion of subsequent release layers. Modern release systems no longer require a separate sealer step. The new Mikon 2480 combines both sealer and release agent in a single product, simplifying mould preparation and reducing labour. Mikon 699MC remains available for customers still using legacy systems but is not required when using Mikon 2480.
