Release Agent Mikon W-53 is a low slip, semi-permanent, water-based mould release agent which dispenses with need for any mould sealing. Requiring only a very short curing time, Mikon W-53 forms a highly resistant film on the surface of the mould that is temperature-stable up to 450°C. Due to its strong adhesion to almost all mould materials Mikon W-53 allows for multiple releases. The product does not transfer to the moulded parts. Mikon W-53 is an air-drying system and heat curing is not necessary. Build-up on the moulds can be eliminated almost completely if the release agent is used as directed. As a low slip release, Mikon W-53 is suitable for use with in-mould coatings and gelcoats and reduces the potential for pre-release with polyester parts. Mikon W-53 is sold per litre.
